Discipleship is central to all that we do at Catalyst Church.  We want to transform ordinary people into speakers for Christ.  Catalyst Church stresses bible reading, journaling, Scripture memorization, and accountability through weekly discipleship groups.  Discipleship is a never-ending process on a believer’s journey of faith.  The ultimate goal is to empower Catalyst members to “be the church” and not just “come to church.”

You can expect to see Jesus glorified through authentic worship and the Word.  Our worship experience is designed to bring honor and glory to God as we sing and hear His Word taught.  Our worship service is a time of corporate praise through song.  Our sermons are Bible-based teachings that are presented with challenge and personal application.

Our services aren’t just something we attend or do and our church isn’t confined to a specific street address.  Our church is full of imperfect people who meet together on Sunday mornings to glorify God as sinners saved by grace.  No matter who you are or where you’ve been, you’re welcome here.

Each Sunday all children (ages nursery-3rd grade) experience safe, age-appropriate gatherings. Because we believe that Scripture commands parents to be the primary disciple-makers in the lives of their children, we partner and empower parents to pursue that endeavor.

We encourage children 4 years old and older to worship in our corporate worship service on Sunday mornings and then on the last song, Catalyst Kids are taken to their own area for an age-appropriate lesson based on the sermon.

In regards to the Great Commission our command is to make disciples of all nations.  This starts in our local community and then moves to larger areas of international and global missions.  First, Catalyst wants to equip members to share the love of Christ among those who have physical and spiritual needs in Mayfield and Graves County.  Our church and discipleship groups will engage in community outreach by participating in various service projects throughout the Graves County area.

Second, Catalyst wants to deploy our members on an international and global level.  We will partner with global organizations to provide means to help fight poverty, end human trafficking, reach the nations for Christ, and show Christ’s love to people around the world.  We will do this through the use of short-term mission trips, special giving projects, and partnering with global organizations to make an eternal difference.
